- Junior Board
SKIP of New York supports its work in part through its Junior Board, a talented group of caring young professionals in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, dedicated to helping medically vulnerable children in the state of New York get the best childhood possible.
The mission of the Junior Board is to assist and promote the efforts of SKIP through the following activities:
- CHAMPION: Create awareness for SKIP among potential client families, donors, and the New York community at large.
- ADVOCATE: Connect resources to SKIP and the children it cares for.
- FUNDRAISE: Organize and support fundraising events that benefit SKIP’s life-changing work.
- VOLUNTEER: Work directly with SKIP’s children and their families, and participate in programs that benefit them.
- NETWORK: Join like-minded young professionals supporting New York’s most medically fragile children.
The Junior Board offers a chance to help children, make a difference in the New York community, develop and utilize your skills – and have fun while doing it!

Kamrul Khan or “Kam” has worked for the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) for the past 11 years and currently manages all employee-facing compliance functions for the DTCC. Kamrul has a Bachelors degree in Economics from Baruch College and a Masters degree in Computer Information Systems from Pace University. Kam was born in Bangladesh but grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He currently resides in Bellerose, Queens with his wife and enjoys reading fantasy novels, water activities, and traveling.

Josh Pollack is private equity associate at Rhône Capital, where he works on investments in a wide range of industries around the world. Previously, Josh was an analyst at Lazard in its M&A financial institutions group. Josh hold at Bachelor of Science (Summa Cum Laude) in economics from Tulane University. Josh joined the Junior Board of SKIP of New York in 2015 after learning about the life changing impact SKIP has on sick and disabled children and their families.
Nick Valentino has been a part of the SKIP Junior Board since July 2014. He currently works for Kaplan Test Prep and lives in Orange County, NY. Nick was first introduced to SKIP through his wife who is an employee of the agency. After hearing about the impact that they have on families in need, he knew he wanted to get involved and offer his support. “I am honored to be a part of his organization and look forward to continuing to do our part as a Junior Board to help support and spread the word about the amazing things happening everyday at SKIP”.
